    Camping Solo

Ok. So just decided that I wanted to go camping during the week, (all my friends work weekdays) so it'd be a solo camp trip for maybe 2 nights. The Mrs just said "no you can't go" but her theory on why is "because I might hurt myself". Was going camping at a reasonably popular spot not too far from town. Going during the week so it wasn't too busy. I really don't think there is anything to worry about....

Who out there goes camping solo? and what precautions do you take?

Do you have a good argument for me to convince her it's ok?

Do you have mobile reception where your planning on going? If you do you could just agree to check in times to let her know everything is okay.

Perhaps Mrs. De Bruiser is so used to looking after the kids she's doing the same with her 'big kid'. If so make sure you wear clean jocks and take a clean hanky.

Or maybe she knows that you're very accident prone and odds on to come a cropper of some kind and is just being loving/protective.

Or perhaps she's feeling a bit insecure and is concerned that your interest in her has waned with you going off to commune with nature or maybe feels that you've got some one else in the wings who you're going off to have a 'liaison' with.

Remember men are from Mars and women are from Venus, there's no room for logic here.

Give it a bit more thought.

PS. I think your SNAG side may need a little work.

have been flying solo since 1994 and loving it, you want to go some where you just go there . there is nothing better then sitting in a camping stop and listening to couples argue trying to back a van in somewhere or lots of other stupid stuff, enjoy , when you get back home you will feel heaps better

Okay ..........................., perhaps you're such a stud she can't bear being without you for 2 nights. Or she's not happy to be alone ?

Or she's really ****ed that you didn't ask her to accompany you.

But seriously, if there's tears involved, you're missing something important.

There is none. You have to work on your relationship. If SWMBO was comfortable in it, there would be no problem. Over to you. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    What does solo camping involve?

If it's something like downhill mountain biking then I think there'd be cause for concern.

    Hi,
    Most Important.

Pick, and carefully bring her a bunch of wild flowers. Just to show her you missed her.

    Cheers
