Go the 450, and make sure you have a lot of poles and ropes for a tarp that size. Once the wind gets hold of it will need some anchors. Also springs on your ropes are best as they take a bit of pressure off the pegs. A few ridge poles wouldn't hurt either.
As far as blue screw pegs are concerned, the long ones meant for sand are great in really soft sand like on the frontal dunes but once you go where the surface underneath is compacted like up the back in the shady areas they are a bitch to get in the ground.
