Well, after a few false starts and bad weather, I type this with my toes toasting beside a great little bbq!
I don't recon that I could mark out the pattern in 2 hours, let alone drill, bend and finish it in a whole day of stuffing around in the shed.
In short; just buy one! or better yet a couple like I did.
These are a steal at $80!!. Easily worth $130.
You can spend heaps more money on a micro backpacking stove (I have) that will burn through in 6 or 8 outings or this beauty that will last ages.
Many thumbs up to the maker and designers, it fits together easily and securely and has great ventilation and access for all types of cooking options.
Thanks weeds for letting us know and r2d2 for transport. Gotta love AULRO.

Absolutely back up everything said above. Fired it up last night in the howling gale and again tonight. Cooked the whole meal over it. What a great design. So easy to put together and very economical on firewood.
Also add my thanks to Weeds for bringing it to our attention and for organising the Brisbane group buy.

Thanks to Rob, Weeds and R2D2 for pulling this together. Much easier to pack than the Wombat, which is another great Australian product.

Another use. On its side it became a great amplifier and directional speaker.

Bit later it's reverting to its more traditional use.

Bloody good potjie on the way. Camping is great. If I was home I would just be getting frustrated at Quade Cooper being back in the team and the Wallabies losing.
Think I'll go get another beer.
