    Pan-fried venison with blackberry sauce

Love it- have two fillets and this recipe below had "HEALTHY BENEFITS

Venison, an excellent source of protein, is low in calories. It also supplies an easily absorbed form of iron, so is ideal for pregnant and menstruating women. Venison contains good levels of the energising B vitamins – a standard portion provides 60 per cent of our daily B12 requirement.

" Got to love the BBC. Noting I am going to tryA Adam Laws version on SBS Food on the weekend, Back Straps ready for that.

Have to say butchering your own is rather therapeutic. After the fiddling with rabbits and hare, a 100kg chilled it just easy!

Been munching on Blackberries for the last few weeks as well A nice young doe has been in the chiller for Seven days. 1/2 came home with me last night but both fillets arrived

Pan-fried venison with blackberry sauce underway with way on right now

Good time of year to be filling the freezer. I've been busy early and already have one upright fully stocked.

    I'll try that sauce out.

Hey what vintage CD are you? The old man was in Team 1 in the 70's.

    Cheers,

    Jason

Dinner.jpg The recipe was very quick, very easy and was spot on for the Samba. Think it would work on Lamb or goat as well
