    Dave, how about wrapping the copper piping around the exhuast, just below the maniflold, waste heat, and exhaust cooling all in one, and you have hot water when you arrive. Mount the holding tank some where safe.

    Done that too but not with that intent in mind

    SWMBO always complained about the effectiveness of the summer heater of the series so I wrapped some pipe around the verticalish part of the exhaust and then made up a small tank with a series of sbends on the roof of the rover (much like a solar system). did quite a good job and offloaded about 5l of water every 200km and kept the floor pan at a reasonable temp..

    someone asked me what it was when I was topping it up and being a smart ass I said it was a water heater.... It was but not cause thats how Id designed it.
