Man, that is hard yards. If that is the case, gotta recommend that you get a hold of various herbs and spices / condiments and use them with things like rice (even the dehydrated verison) and spuds to make up various curries and hashes. The "PMWU" cookbook (and old one that most grannies have on their shelves, but still available in reprint) has various recipes dating way back (depression etc) that can help out with this sort of stuff.

    Good luck

PS, buy some quick eze / anatacid as well, from personal experience, a few weeks on tinned rats and you will be feeling quite ordinary.

A whole jar of "Pataks" vindaloo should just about disguise the taste.

got to say spam or corned beef an expensive way to feed yourself and low quality ingredient

only advantage is no refridgeration required

and it dissolves in pot when mixed with baked beans or tinned spag

dont you hate it when the key for the can opener on the tin breaks and you cant open the tin

Thats why you should always carry a FRED out of the old Army rat pack. Best kept attached by a piece of cord to some part of the truck so you don't lose it. What you can't open or do with one of those things isn't worth doing.

Good old FRED. Been there done that. Best device ever invented

I actually like SPAM - once in a while, but probably would not like to live on it. Actually SPAM's not THAT bad. Good for camping trips - no fridge needed, Square-ish cans are easier to pack...

F*&^%ing Ridiculous Eating Device, the most improbable, but highly effective piece of kit the Army ever issued to a soldier to assist him prepare tucker.

Of course, because it was good, simple and everyone liked it, it was replaced with a useless , disposable platsic spoon by some cost cutting genius.
