I've slept on a boat right near the engine a number of times, only problem was the boat was moving too much !! :D :p

Apologies, don't mean to hijack the thread, no vents to the tent, about twice the cost of a standard A/C installation........

Brought this baby a few weeks agao from a garage sale for a 100 bucks. The guy just wanted it out of his garage, said it came with the car and he had only use it once. I took it to work an hoisted it up on the fender for the weekend and it worked a treat. Sitting a bit high for my liking but at that price i'm not complaining. I priced it new and it $3995 buckeroos good day shopping i reckon

Where do you get this rooftop tent and aircon unit?
Like TREX we also have a ShippeShape Rooftop tent, we purchased ours for $600.00 it came with all the optional extra walls, poles, screens that have never been used, all we needed to do was replace the travel cover, glad we have motor trimmer mates, we replaced the mattress with a brand new mattress removed from a Jayco Swan bed end that had a water mark on the material (warranty replacement).
The worst part of a rooftop tent is getting the vehicle level or blood rushes to the head, hence the inclusion of Firestone airsprings replacing the original coil suspension.

So, has anyone had any experience with the Oasis tents?
Hey guys, Greetings from sunny England;)
I know this isnt answering your question, but it could be solving a problem for those wanting a budget roof tent weighing less than any other, quicker to errect than any other and at 30GBP costing less than any other.....

This is a Quechua 2 second tent.
It does what it says on the tin!
One instant tent in 2 seconds flat.
We have used this on our trips around Europe dealing with the hot temps found in Southern France to the very cold and wet conditions found in good old Wales.
It fits our roof rack perfectly, and is great on the floor too.
Since we have owned it we have never used our 350GBP Coleman 5man tent.
It also works great in heavy rain not leaking once at all including a heavy down poor during a thunder storm.
We returned to our camp site to find our tent floating in a couple of inches of water which formed a puddle - All our kit inside was 100% dry!!!
Good result!!!!
Hi all,
mine is a four person self-made roof tent, i was surprised finding here this "tensioned cords to support your body instead of a solid floor" as it was my solution to get "lower profile" in the toll barriers here in Argentina:o
I couldn't see the photos from the Oasis tent above, and the Oasis link seem not to work:(, but i try to post a photo from my tent
