The missus & I are heading up to Qld for our inaugural Land Rover camping trip over the Christmas holidays.

We are "Return"bies to the camping scene, having both done loads of camping in the mountains and on the beach with our parents way back when triangular tents with annoying centre poles & sheering lines were the way to go.

We have looked at Rooftop tents, but are not sure whether these would be the best thing for us, or whether a fold out trailer or a dome tent would be best (leaving the differing cost implications out of the picture for now). There is only the two of us and we like the idea (the marketing yada yada yada) of a rooftop tent.

Does anybody have a rooftop tent we can borrow / rent for about 2 weeks around X-mas to try out? Decent form of barter / payment can be worked out!

Or, do you know of a company that will rent us a rrotop tent incl. roof racks etc for our 2003 D2?

Hope you have some suggestions for us.
