WeberQ BBQ - got any tips or recipes ?

We just got a WeberQ 220 gas "grill" (as the Yanks call them.)
Its the mid sized one but with a higher lid and the temp guage, so we can do roasts.

Has anyone else got one of these ?
If so do you have any hints for using it, looking after it, or recipes ?

I have the same model. I've had it for over a year now and do very little in the care stakes. I just make sure it has it's cover on when not in use. As far as recipes and cooking goes I don't think that I could say much but there is an art to cooking with a weber Q because of the way the burners are set up but that just takes practice more then anything.

They are a great piece of kit so happy bbqing!

Hmmm, interesting. I'm looking for a small BBQ that can do roasts. Ususally can't have a fire over Christmas where I go away. Gas is ok though.

Might have to have a look on the weekend. Do you take them away at all on long trips?

There's some recipies on the website.

There is a Weber cook Book in publication, I' m surprised you didn't get one when you bought the Weber, it will tell you everything you need to know, these webers cook the BEST roasts you'll ever eat, Regards Frank.

Yeah I saw the cookbook but sort of extended myself geting the Weber and the trolley.
Anyway we've done a couple of meals on it now - one being a roast lamb - all turned out very well.
We won't be take it on trips as room in the Disco is at a premium anyway - but if you had something with more room ( like a Defender) it would be possible.

Yeah I got that book with the unit, and there's good basic recipes in there, but I've seen there's a much larger hard bound one you can buy, not sure of the price.

I was just trying to get some ideas from people on here what the've tried with it. ( for FREE )

I've heard you can smoke fish and meats, might give that a go.
