    Nice set up touring Disco

Found this pic and thought this is one well thought out set up. Very nice indeed. The only thing against it is that it looks very cramped... hence why I prefer a trailer.

I think that is a good setup when you cannot take the trailer. The only problem is that there is not much room left for a fresh water tank or containers.

notice he has a big shovel, good thing too, wonder how much the rig weighs and how many times it would need to be dug out of the sand :/

    thats the 'outhouse' isnt it

but, yes it is a well sorted rig. The only issue I have with this sort of set up is if you are spending any longer than a day in one place, you have to pack everything up anytime you want to go somewhere. But for overnight stays its perfect.

my preference is a well set up trailer or camper trailer

A young English couple we met at Cooma last year (Holy cow! I just realised the 60th was almost exactly a year ago! Where did that go???? ) had their 4 door Disco set up almost the same, even had the chequerplate on the back door. With a cargo barrier behind the front seats and drawers in the rear they had used it to travel around Australia. That's a fair bit of room for two people
