So far I've seen a few workshop trailer conversions in this thread, but no No.5 conversions.
Are there any out there, or is this conversion just too impractical.
If anybody has one, could you please share some pics with us.

    Cheers,
    Daryl.

so heres my original one around 1977 (trailer had 2 stainless tanks at 120 litres each for fuel and water with a bed board over the top and 2 side mounted spares - did a lot of miles with that setup, all trouble free) - sorry about the Toyota - took me 20 years of back breaking Tojos to finally wise up and go Landrover..... We have also our vehicle based camp setup, the awning is not set up in this pic, and finally our Supreme Off Road (so called) 14' poptop pulled up out of a creek to get away from holiday crowd. Makes a good base camp then you can go vehicle based from there to more difficult spots. note - we are getting old and lazy tho and like our comforts sometimes! Also included previous 300 tdi setup for swagging it and Track camper - sorry we sold that one, gave another option and went anywhere but you cant keep all your toys can you?

Is this the reason there aren't any No,5's in this thread, or are they just too small for camper work?

The way I figure it... if they didn't want me to use my creative grinder, gas axe and welder collection on it, they would've outbid me at the auction.

I need to tow it behind a Stage1, so a No.5 will be ideal.

    Cheers

Well, finally got my roof tent, so now my camp set up is nearly finished. Pics below - first one taken at the UK importers when we had the tent fitted. Next two on our first try-out trip in North and East Yorkshire.

Have the Howling Moon 1.4 Stargazer, with annexe, ARB 47l fridge, 2-burner gas stove, Oztent chairs, etc.

Aiming on travelling around Oz for 3-6 months in 2014, and in a 90 that takes a lot of space planning!

Still got some work to do on the Defender - fitting ARB lockers, extra fuel tanks, and moving some of the electrics round, finding places to put a few recovery items, etc.

Hopefully should be fully done by next Spring (that's March 2013) so we have a few months to double check everything by shipping time (hopefully Nov 2013).

Soooooo looking forward to being able to post camping set up pics with gum trees and billabongs in the background!

    Thanks Juddy!

Yeah, you have to be hard as nails to camp in Yorkshire! I've lived in Yorkshire all my life, so used to the weather.... we went from wild winds and heavy rain to glorious sunshine in 3 days - temps 6 - 12c at night, 12-20c days.

Went to a Land Rover show over the weekend - 27c yesterday - that is very hot for September in the UK! Had a very bad summer this year, lots of rain and cold days so it felt awesome to be too hot for a change!

Juddy missed your comment earlier, the fridge setup works great especially with the airbag to drop it lower, and its a great fridge, it pretty much runs 24/7 at the moment full of drinks.
