Willow cooler jug - hot water?

Is it possible to use a Willow cooler jug (that normally is used to keep water cold) as a thermos for tea/coffee?

It probably is, but I doubt it would be that successful. I don't think they would insulate well enough to keep the water hot for that long, and you may have leakage problems.

If you are talking about the 2.5. litre blue one that sometimes comes with the Esky ?

We tried your idea on our recent big trip. We have lots of cuppas when travelling, which uses up a lot of gas/fuel. So once when we were in a caravan park I tried filling up the Willow jug with boiling water from the camp kitchen and taking it back to the camp. Kept the water hot enough for cuppas for maybe two to three hours.

It doesn't seem to have done any damage to it, but I only did it maybe five times.
