Ever slept in the back of the disco ?

there's bound to be some great pics of how people rig out the disco when they sleep in the back.??
    or

is my suspicion true- the V8 95 disco is too short to sleep in ??

I'm 5 foot 11 inches and built like a typical Land Rover driver. My wife and myself have slept in the back of the D2 on many occasions, put the seats forward and sleep on an angle.

There is a picture of someones Hammock setup in a disco somewhere on the forum.

My reply applied to a D1. The D2 is several inches longer then the D1.

Yep - on the back seat with the front seats all the way forward and the backs also forward as possible - you need this space for your bent knees.

A full double to 6'1" can be made up in a D1, if your taller than this its gunna be a little tight.

I've slept in the back of the D3 several times but its 2m from the back of the front seats to the tailgate so its more than long enough. I fold a towel over the back doors and shut the door so the towel is trapped in the door frame. The window can be left down for ventilation but no bugs can get in.

I slept in the FL2 once by taking out the lower part of the seats and folding the backs completly flat. Putting the front seats all the way forward gave me enough room.

The only problem I had was I had parked on top of a hill and couldn't get to sleep because I couldn't remember if I'd put the handbrake on. The other thing is the car offers NO insulation for warmth. I didn't have a decent sleeping bag and froze!

i will never try to sleep in a d1 again.
firstly, unless you remove the rear seats, it is way to short .
secondly, if it is a cold area, the d1 turns into an ice box with all that glass.

I've slept in mine a few times.

Just recline the front passenger seat and jobs done.

Not the most comfortable spot but quick and easy.

    I'm 6'2
