    Squeeking Pulleys

    Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can find some replacement v-belt adjustment pulleys as mine are squeeking like a retarded rat...makes a great car sound like a right sh*tbox.

I'd like the ones with the replaceable bearings so I don't have this problem in the future (have been told MR automotive used to do them, but closed down), but if they're not available, just some new or near new replacements would be awesome.

    Cheers,

    Not quite correct.
Maxidrive used to make them but closed down.
MR Automotive NOW have begun making Maxidrive type ones, and AFAIK are still alive and kicking. I bought 2 a couple of months ago.

    G'day Shorty tha 3rd

Yes, MR are alive and strong, but you could try British Off Road at Forest Glen,(near Nambour) which is closer to you spray a little WD-40 on the underside of the belts whilst it's idleing it might stop for a bit, if so it could be worn belts or they are out of aline.

    cheers

Are you sure it's the Idler Pulley.
    Most times it's worn Belts.

Was pretty sure it was the pulleys, but am going to replace the belts this weekend and see if that makes a difference...a lot cheaper than the $85 each for the pulleys. The fun continues. P

If you think $85 is expensive try AFAIR USD 350 for OEM.
