Thread: Hello

Hey guys,

My name is Kodie and I live in Carrick (Near Launceston), Tasmania.

First post, was ment to be an intro and a few questions but will now be a sale thread. Not sure whether this is the right place for it but I couldn't find a for sale section.

I have a 1985 range rover auto that I am parting out or selling whole, I was going to restore it but the minister for war and finance (read: the missus) has told me I have enough projects and it has to go.

I bought the car off an old archeologist who said he has owned it for as long as he can remember.

The body itself is in decent condition bar the drivers side tail light that someone ran into in a motel car park (im guessing a truck for how high it is!) the damage is limited to the panel that the light attaches too, I was simply going to take it off and beat it out. The engine has a miss in it at idle which I think is a sticky exhaust valve (did a leak down, its not a ring) apart from this the engine is in great condition and suprisingly the engine doesnt leak or weep any oil. The alternator has just been replaced with a disco unit, the metal fan is a bit knackered but I have a spare buggered unit with a good fan on it. The carbs were rebuilt only a couple of weeks ago and are in tip top condition. The interior is in okish condition, the back seats are pretty good but the front seats are fairly worn. Gear box shifts smoothly but still has the standard drivetrain slack clunk that they all seem to have. Wheels are in good condition and the tyres are only a couple of hundred kms old which is quite evident when you inspect them (tyres are Goodyear Wranglers)
