A little advice
First, thanks to everyone for the welcome.
I've started spending money on the RR already, but not for anything that I can't fix myself.
As I'm a Bathurst resident, can anyone point towards the better electrical and suspension people in the region. Ones that are kind to pensioners would be good.
Has anyone got a 93/4 with a Eurovox audio system? My radio's okay but the CD player has bitten the dust. Don't want to get rid of the big sub-woofer, if it can be avoided, but I've been told a total re-wire may be necessary.
If anyone's been through this, could they please advise.
Thanks all.

If it has a Eurovox it was fitted locally.
In that case it is most likely that the car came with "radio prep" ie speakers , wiring etc.
So it seems to me there is no reason to prevent the fitting of another head unit with minimal wiring alteration.

Thanks PhilipA for the info. Nice to know there's another Phil out there with the royal spelling.
I did a fair bit of research on RRCs before I got this one and am aware that they have their foibles and gremlins.
My central locking is shy a motor for the tailgate - I've got one of those on the way and during my first quiet drive yesterday I noted the cruise control doesn't work. Dash light operates but wheel controls don't. Simple job for an old bloke?

That non working cruise control could be as simple as an air leak [connection or a split hose] or at a more complicated level the ECU module.

Or I think most likely that the "spiral loom" that connects the wires from the column to the steering wheel is broken. It is a flat set of wires like in a computer that rolls and unwinds like a toilet roll .
Apparently if you are a deft hand with a soldering iron it is sometimes possible to fix but otherwise a new one.
