I was wondering where to fit my UHF !!
I got a pressure check done on the cooling system today & i have a tiny leak somewhere around the heater hoses at the RHS rear of the engine.
Is that common?

Looks just like what I need to do ;) My Gas system might be in the way a little - but nothing I can't sort out.
Is there anything else that has been done to seal up the airbox\filter area from water or a drain place for water coming down the snorkel??
Here is a few pics of the snorkel set up on a RR I used to own. There is a place in Kilsyth that make roll bars and can bend you up an ally snorkel (like what I had on the RR in the pics). I have bought mandrel bends from them before and there quite cheap. Cheaper than a LRA one if your on a budget. I wont post pics of the 94 RR Classic I have now as it has a different air box (plastic one).

No its EFI 4.6 with a custom twin throttle body plenum. This motor had a fair bit of work done to it, went really well. The engine was built by Bruce Davis in NSW.Quote:

This would mean that the air is only coming in one end of the filter ?
Or is it better to make up a larger pipe so the air flows right around the filter.
What would be optimum for the engine ? Im guessing as much air as possible.

'Lobsterback' is a method of forming a bend in steel pipe by cutting and welding rather than mandrel bending. The pipe is cut on an angle, then rotated in the saw 180 degrees and cut on the same angle the opposite way, this gives you a wedge-shaped piece from between your 2 lengths of pipe. The wedge is welded back into the pipe the opposite way from how it came out, resulting in a bent pipe that resembles a lobster's tail. Can be done in as many steps (pieces) as you like. A bit of maths with the cut angles will get you a finished product with the angle you want, and by rotating the wedge you can fudge the angle a bit if necessary. Looks very neat if your welds are good (or you are good with a grinder).Quote:
