Thread: i need a heater

i have a 1984 range rover with 3.5 carbie engine and lt 95 box i want to know where the heater tap is as it doesnt work. my repair manual tells me how to get the heater out but theres no mention of the tap thanks from leyland

In stock form there is no tap, water is circulating through the heater all the time and heat output is controlled by flaps controlling air flow.

Have a look at the firewall at the back of the motor. There should be two hoses about 25mm OD going through. They may have been linked to by-pass / disconnect the heater.
