I had extractors on my RRC and the RH downpipe came close to the mount and was heat damaging it.
So I made up a heat shield and slipped that in to protect the mount.
The shield was a piece of aluminium bent into a right angle. One side of the angle shielded the mount and the other side went between the upper surface of the mount and the engine bracket. I cut a slot in that side of the angle so I could slide it over the stud and between the mount and the bracket. It was held in place after the engine mount nut was tightened up.
I have been told to use Jaguar XJ6 (?) mounts rather than RRC as they are apparently better.
