Range Rover Schuler FFRR 5000
Hi Baggy, very interesting information regarding your Range Rover.
Are you able to provide pictures of your Rangie and some of the mentioned details ?
I read in an Australian magazine I have (Wheels, Dec 1985) about Range Rover Schuler FFRR 5000 in Australia.
The Schuler firm transformed to Overfinch later on in UK.
But in OZ looks like Schuler stayed on.... !
Here are some pics from the article: "The one that got away":

From the article:
"A distributorship agreement between Schuler and Hoerner's custom import company Quadramotive was signed in 1981 and since then he estimates he has spent about $100.000 developing the Australian version"
Very interesting.....................
Someone who knows more ??

I was told Winterbottom Fauls (landrover, RR agents of the time) here in WA arranged the conversions for WA farmers who did'nt want to drive a manual, though the first autos were not (I believe) available as an option until 82
I've never had auto checked, would be interested if it has the Chrysler Auto box fitted as the shifter to me looked like early model Ford type, or if it was ordered and shipped here to WA.
Vehicle is badged "automatic" fitted to tailgate which looks original and matches styling of vehicle overall.
Would anyone know if they sent these RR Super Schulter Auto's to Australia?
Cheers,
Baggy
