    Dizzy

Just a quick question, i decided to check the air gap in my 93 range rover, but when i pulled the rotor button off it pulled the shaft up as well to where you could spin the rotor button around about half way so i spun it back to where it sat and push in place is this normal for this dizzy or have i got a problem thanks Luke. just read the other post about the same thing now i no what i have done.

Yay, another victim of the Broken Clip. Get in there, fix it properly, won't happen again. Replace the nylon clip with a new one or thread and tap a little screw into the shaft to retain the rotor assembly.

    G'day Folks

Yep! that's them, just down the road from me, I had to replace the Vacc unit on my 85 when I first got it, they do an exchange service, from memory it's the same unit as 3.9 litre motor. for those people in S.E.Qld they are also Duel Fuel Services at Caboolture, who do all petrol/gas conversions and certification. even "Inc." uses them

    cheers

Im still very new in the land rover world and my 93 rrc recently had a dizzy problem it was doing my head in, gave it to a mate ( ex rac uk mechanic and head mechanic at barbegellos a couple of years back) he had galoop for a week for orginaly a cold starting problem and it ended up being that little black box thing on the side of the dizzy not being a origanal lucas part even thow the aftermarket part was still after testing ok.

Which is why I had to invent the Bosch conversion, they don't randomly die like Lucas does:
