ritter holden 308 conversion
does anyone have any info on the 308 conversions that ritter did in the early 80"s? i have an 83 2door that was converted by ritter with a holden black motor and sold with this motor as a new car.
i have asked ritter for info about this vehicle and as i didnt want to buy one of thier cars or spend millions in repairs and just wanted info they didnt want to know me and the person i talked to was to put it mildly a rude arrogant *****.

Ritters did good conversions in those days. I have one of their Ford C4/9 LT 95 conversions behind a 350 in 74 2 door and I really like it. As long as it has a C4/9 or Turbo 350/400 type trans conversion then you shouldn't really have any more probs than stock. You should have less with better quality wiring to the motor.
AFAIK Ritters never did the rubbish BW 35 / LT 95 conversions.
Don't know much about 308's except they have a weird firing order for a V8. No-one in their right mind would retro-fit a Rover 3.5 as an 'upgrade' in place of a 308 or 350 already engineered and regoed.
cheers, DL
