It could be something as simple as a sticking compressor relay.
I have a 94 soft dash classic and recently went on a 1200k trip about 200k off road and on beaches to my surprise it all went well till i got home and gave it a bit of a wash down it has fibre glass flares fitted there for a bit of a gap between wheel arch and flare right where the air filter is now my air compressor wont turn off done a bit if a leak test with sopey water nothing leaking and the air system is still working but the compressor wont turn off
if does only for a few seconds any ideas ? coil springs seems to be the only answer so far wouldn't mind a little longer out of a brand new system.

If I understand you correctly, you've sprayed water and ? mud/sand up into where the compressor intake filter is- could it be that you have simply blocked up the filter? The compressor will not be able to pump effectively with a blocked intake.
Still could be a stuck relay if it is in fact switching off periodically, even if briefly- maybe temp override causing the off periods.
Do NOT go to coils.
Probably 6/7 people I;ve met who have done so have wished they still had the ride comfort etc of the EAS.
i really beleive it's worth persisiting with.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Thanks fella,s tried all that you mentioned for no result never mind will try
my lap top with a bit of soft ware thats available on the net to see if all the valves are workng can still drivre just take the relay out after its pumped up
might just stick to the EAS till it owes me to much then see what happens
thanks again
If it's only turning off for a few seconds then coming back on, its most likely the compressor piston seal. It needs to make 150psi before it shuts off.
Check the state of the pressure switch on the tank. When it calls for air, ie not enough pressure, the switch is open circuit.
It's all a process of elimination and there are a few basic tests that can be done.
Persist with it, EAS is far better than coils.

Understand perfectly how you feel... spent $600 on the pump to get it o/hauled properly, new Arnotts Gen III bags all round, Black box to re-set the bugger.... and still not happy with the whole thing. Just installed a switch to turn OFF the computer/freeze it cos I can't stand the compressor running...
- Yes, new mounts are next. On order and waiting...
With all due respect to the Experienced, my recollection of the '89 Classic that I used to drive for work, is a far softer/smoother/pleasant ride than the Event Horizon, (94 softdash Vogue SE)
The air seems to handle better, though as I was towing 1.8 tonne plant & trailer high speed controllability was never an issue !
Have only had the EH for a few months, but now spent around 30% of its purchase price *just to keep it running normally* and I'm beginning to yearn for my old Pajero.... Metal springs never ever leaked or co$t money !!! LOL
But I encourage myself with the hope that the Air-Rover *WILL* be stupendously fantastically wonderful and capable Off-Road, - that Tojo owners will chuck lighted matches into their petrol tanks!
TMA, if you have'nt already done it, remove the dead foam in the compressor's air filter.... Mine had disintergrated and I suspect found its way to the reed valves.. which caused the previous owner no end of grief, - and two pump motors.

Use a K&N style breather filter and pipe it inside the luggage space behind the inner liner. No dust or dirt, easier to get to and better suction.
All you need is a rubber grommet and suitable drill bit to pop a hole through the floor.
