    Bonnet Release Cable

Hi Guys, I'm restoring a 73 2 Door Rangie, and am about to refit the bonnet release cable. It will fit on either side, does anyone know which side it was originally fitted to?

    Cheers,
    Phil

The Bonnet release is on the passenger side in my 75 2 door. That is assuming its the original cable in mine.

    Yep, passenger side.

I hate it over there though, it's like they forgot to bring it over for the RHD conversion.

My 74 had the release on the passenger side and it was a real PITA. The 81 body I put on it has it on the driver's side and is a vast improvement.

I'd be putting there for sure.

    cheers, DL

cheers for that guys, its fitted to the passenger side, it all became clear when the bonnet latch is fitted. it only goes one way. Also the fact that the pin holes in the rad support panel were painted over where the cable goes through helped to baffle me.
