    Yes, old news, but it only takes a stray dog or similar across the bows... as may have been the case here...

    Boy, the above post is a MIGHTY leap of logic.
    Range Rovers have a steering guard.
    The front link only changed the angle of the steering if hit, and the car continues straight ahead unless the driver makes an error.
    The drag link is protected by the axle.

    This reminds me of posts many years ago where many people blamed some inherent instability of RRCs when they lost control after landing from "yumps". Turns out it was the driver overcorrecting every time.
