Cheers Brad - i'll be sure to give Peter a call - i work in Welshpool so he's on my way to and from work. I have found a complete trim kit, albeit in LHD - not to sure if that would be a problem, as for the majority of the dash parts, you would simply turn them around.
link below - would welcome any feedback - complete wood trim package (36 pieces) for US$260 plus postage - that sounds like a bargain to me - could anyone tell me otherwise. link below.
36 piece LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER Dash-Trim Kit : BE_BVRW-4614
The trial will consist of 2 panels, each treated differently - I haven't started yet, it's on my short list. My local paint supplier says that matt black is available, but as everyone says, attracts finger prints and stuff, which is hard to shift. I am going to try something a bit different, to see if the results will be any different. All painting will be with a gravity feed gun and nice dry air, just as if I am painting a whole vehicle.
First will be a standard 2K gloss black, Rubbed back to a matt finish. Not sure if this will be the same, or if I will get enough consistancy with the wet and dry.
Second will be a variation to this using clear coat, and rubbing back. May all be a waste of time, so I am only going to do a small panel of each to start with, to see wht the end texture and cleanability (is that a word?) of each is.
I'll post the results.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
Keep it , rip all the good bits off and find a decent vehicle ( for less than a paint job ) and biuld it up like the old one , except nice interior and decent paint job.
Not that hard I would if thought !

I am keeping mine it s 92 RR vogue , 225km and going strong. We use it as a third car , when one of the others is being serviced and I like driving it to work once a week to keep the v8 addictionn up ( the other two are oil burners. )
Worth doing the numbers on the above I reckon
i have potentially sourced a full interior from a 93 RRC. all in very good nick. it is being wrecked... could anyone give me a ball park of what i should be paying for deck, leather front and rear seats, centre console and 4 door trims? probably a few kick panels and perhaps even the carpet if it's good.
cheers
Tim
