rangie gearbox rebuild
Gday all im a relative newby to rangies but ive owned my '90 classic 3.9 for about 6 months now. Ive had some noises from the gearbox area so ive stripped it all out to replace bearings and synchros. Im up to the refitting stage but im stumped as to the operation of the shift rod and arms. I havent removed the arms from the shaft but i simply reassembled them back onto the mainshaft and into the sandwich plate. When refitting detent ball and gearbox case no matter what position i rotate/push the rod i cant get any gears? Ive looked at afew writeups but none seem to have the same shifter assembly. Has anyone got any ideas? Any help would be great thanks.
Cheers

Must be about the only 90 RRC manual in OZ!
Maybe a n early Disco 1 owner can help.

So I suggest you either ask a moderator to move it to Technical or to Disco 1.
I know that all 92s were auto, and I think that nearly all , if not all 3.9 from 89 onward were autos.

Don't bother wih a LT77 resto, just slot in a good Disco R380, direct fit.
