    VM diesel replacement

    Just picked up an 88 rangie with the vm diesel that is stuffed
    whats the best or easiest motor conversion for this ??
    What have others done ??

    300 Tdi or if you can find a latter VM from a Jeep.

    Any of the later Disco 1 and Disco II diesels. 200tdi 300tdi TD5 the engines.

    The VM were never a popular power plant in the RRc.

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    I put a tdi300 motor in mine. Needs engineering on engine mounts, and best to lift body 2", also good time to got to auto. (Still got the old VM, running, if you want it!)
