    Warning lights coming on

On my 85 (tacho dash), The Centre Diff light has been flickering on while driving along without centre diff engaged. Now the Oil Pressure light has been coming on now and again, and it hasn't seized yet(!). The lights are next to each other, but both haven't been coming on together.

I'm thinking it's the wiring, any ideas, pointers?

Well now, it's time to look at where the wires connect to the relevant switches. The CDL switch is on the transfer case, the oil pressure switch is on the engine by the oil filter. If either wire is off, suffering from frayed insulation etc., it will cause flickering. Mice and rats have been known to demolish insulation, especially at this time of year. The oil pressure switch may also be on its way out, especially if it is leaking oil.
