Thread: leaking coolant, from a bad place

I have noticed for the last few weeks coolant slowly leaking from the water jacket around the bolts that hold the head to the block, im assuming it could be the head gasket?
the coolant leaks only from the centre two bolts on either side of the engine, and its only ever so slowly (a drop a night from all four leaks combined).
it doesn't seem to be leaking from anywhere else along the join.
I have been checking the oil and its clear (not milky), so to me that's saying no water is getting in from the jacket, its only getting out.
Is this a common thing or easliy fixed?
or should I not worry and keep topping up the coolant?

Cracked head. I have seen this before. The bolt tension load cracks the head above it. Add some stop leak or just top it up occasionally. One day find another head or two to bolt on. Later heads don't run these extra short bolts.
