3,9 into an 1986 rrc! Is it worth it?)

    Hay all!
Looking at buying a 90rrc and putting the engine 1986rrc(which has a 3.5 in itatm). The question is; is it worth the hassle? And how hard is it! I assume engine is very very similar but ecu and wiring will be different.
I assume that the 89-90 rrc is a hot wire system yes?biz the power/torque increase worth it?
    Any answers would be great!
    Cheers Nat

depends on your plans with the 86 RRC.

I recently converted my RRC 4.2 from carby to efi, even though some parts where a pain (only cause it was a putting efi gear on an older motor).
cause my RRC has a good motor, good body and i plan to keep it for a long time.

the hardest part for mine (other then getting it running ) was swapping fuel lines and converting/swapping the fuel tank.

The 3.9 is a much more appropriate engine for the weight of the RRc.

The engine will bolt straight in.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

The RRC has 35s, lt77, maxi's f and r BUT standard diff gears, (will be 4.7 later.)

Just to clarify no ECU changes either?

Goodness, it must be slow as a wet week! Just use the 3.9 ecu and all is apples, easy to wire up

Oh, I don't think they are worth it, not enough horsepower still
