Never fear, the RR Gremlins will surface elsewhere... My engine is reliable (?) - but the BW transfer case is not.... and yes, the viscious coupling has bitten me, so I've removed the front prop shaft. Fixed...

Yeah I know all about that one...my VC died 400k's after I bought the car. So I switched to the 230. After driving it I actually prefer the BW. Good thing my adapter setup will work for both:)Quote:

It works ok as a RWD, though the steering is terrible... I do a slow zig-zag down the highway! - 2 sons have noticed it already. - Possibly toe'd in too far,as I had to adjust it after taking off the front drive, and there is feathering on the outers...
Anyway, I've picked up a good s/h transfer case. - Sits nicely in the boot ! :p

Yeah I notice it both on and offroad James, It feels smoother and more sure footed with the BW. I may go for a Quaife torque sensing centre diff in the 230 to make it more like the BW.
I drove the 230 front wheel drive when it got built because it kept stuffing up and the mob that built it kept blaming the rear diff and everything else. SO I dropped the rear shaft and took the guy for a drive and proved it wasn't the rear diff. FWD was weird, kept chirping the tyres on gear changes around corners.
How's the tail-gate text manufacturing project ?
