Making RRC Fuel & Temp Gauges Work.

Has anyone out there got the stock fuel and temp gauges to work properly and independently?

On my 85 on a good day they follow each other, on a bad day the temperature needle doesn't move. If the temperature needle isn't reading halfway, the fuel gauge can't show full.

I've tried before splitting all connections in the dash and giving the temp needle it's own 10v feed. But all that did was release smoke. So I gave up, replaced the smoke and it's back to the same old tricks.

This clever 40 series cruiser owner is fitting real electrical gauges to his stock cluster. Anyone think something like this is possible?

Here is the short-sweep autometer range. Anyone know what ohms range we're looking for?

Of course these would be upside down reverse sweep.
