    Aircon pressure switch

Does anyone know what PSI the high/low pressure switch kicks in at, cutting out the aircon compressor?

The original dryer had 2 switches, well my 91 did. I would think the switches would have the pressure stamped on them.
If the dryer has been replaced with a 1 switch dryer, then nobody could tell you because it is non original. Check with a fridgie as they are all probably similar.
    From a 10 second Google
My Pantera is a 1971 model so it has one relay that controls the compressor clutch and condenser fan. I installed the pressure switch so that if high pressure (about 300lbs) or low pressure (about 10 to 15lb) condition exist the compressor and condenser fan will shut down until normal pressure is reached. The switch can be installed on later cars so that only the compressor is shut down.

My 10/84 build MY85 (which I had from delivery miles) has/had a drier with two switches, but only one was ever connected the other just dangled in mid air.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

original landrover/rangerover was high and low.with round plug that linked in series.

orijinal are still around but a hilo combination is much easier to get and you can choose the best pressures to suit aplication.

landrover switches are normally in the top side of the dryer-this is the inlet side of the filter.after market filters normally are on the outlet side.

pressure switch will trigger if dryer is blocked.
