I recently refitted my Rangy seat ECU after having it repaired (circuit board cleaned, checked and memory battery remotely mounted), if my ever diminishing memory (must have something to do with DOB ) serves me correctly there is a sequence to follow with the memory buttons to bring the seat back in to operation.

From memory (no pun intended); press the little round button 5 times then press 2-1-1-2; the seat and mirrors will go through the entire range of travel in every plane, then settle at the midpoint. You are then ready to input your memory positions.

Where did you mount the battery?
