Seems no-one noticed what the OP was actually asking. I would start with the simplest procedure, i.e. removing fuses, and see if that solves the warning light problem. Removing the globes from the warning lights themselves will definitely switch them off, but not as easy as pulling fuses.

Thanks POD.
Iam actually done now - I know why the battery light is on and it has to do with the wires going to the alternator. There is a brown wire for RPM.... and a white one which I am sure is for the warning light on the dash. I have these mixed up and going to see AMV to sort it this morning :)
It feels so good to do a project like this, have it all working, find a few other things only to have easy fix's :)
So - wipers were a little rusted as she had been sitting since Easter, warning light on the dash for battery is my mixed up alt wairing. The ABS warnings - unplug the ABS ECU located under the passenger seat, ABS issues solved! :)
I'll prep something for good oil so if anyone else is thinking of this swap the info will be there.
