    Soft Dash Classic

    Hello Guys,

    While I haven't started a thread before I have been on the forum for a while and would like to belatedly introduce myself!

    I have a 1994 Soft Dash Classic (MA series). I was wondering if anyone can help me with build dates, as according to Rover (and the build plate) my car was built in December 1993 and according to the VIN decoder, the MA (Soft Dash) series are supposedly for the 1995 model year.

    I recently fitted a 4.6 to the car and found a number of 1993 date stamps on parts like radiator hoses which are unique to the single V-Belt, MA> cars. I also have friends who have a 1994 build, LA series hard dash Range Rover.

    Can anyone shed some light on this?

    The 1994MY (LA) Classic was skipped in Australia.

    Australia went straight from the KA to the MA for some reason.

    We (work at least) received our first MA Classic on 28-4-94 which was a Jan 1994 build so Dec 1993 is quite reasonable.

    Much appreciated. I'd run into a couple of problems while ordering parts for the car (due to the build date?), things like air filters seem to be commonly confused.
