The best system I have seen was a fellow who drilled and tapped two nipples on the underside of his distributor. He connected two pipes. One pipe he ran to behind the dash in the cabin and the other he connected to the vacuum on the manifold. It was always drawing warm, dry air through the distributor. That would assist the condom arrangement shown. The fellow who had those pipes on his distributor didn't have any other form of water ingress protection. Instead, he carried a spare set of leads and cap in case the distributor got drenched.
