    Flapper Advice

    Hi All,

The old 87 rangie flapper is wearing out & I would rather not replace it with one of unknown history from a wreck.

Does anyone know if there is somewhere that sells reconditioned flappers?

Has anyone tried to replace the old MAF & 4CU with a Hot Wire & 14CUX?

I would really appreciate advice or thoughts.

I am pretty sure XF Falcon flappers are the same body with different electronics.

I have a Disco 3.9 with 14 CUX hotwire injection in my RRc. I did a conversion thread when I did it a few years ago. The wiring is quite simple.

To do the conversion you will need the 14CUX ECU, loom, hotwire MAF and inlet manifold complete with injectors and sensors. Shouldn't be a massive task as the injection loom is completely separate from the main vehicle loom that includes ignition, start and charge circuits.
