The panel is going where the center heater box was and on the firewall. The really good thing is that it uses the same mounts as the heater box did.
It is a ***** of a job. but slowly slowly its getting there.

All rebuilds are long and painful, but it's a nice payoff when you've used it for a few years!
Well made a crack at the wiring on the weekend and managed to test some of the controls on the steering column and the starter motor. All good so far.
Is it possible to get some more pictures of that wiring board. It's giving me some ideas.
What sort are you after? We have modified it slightly to now have the top run of relays on a 65deg angle to push it under the dash more.
I have to admit having the board done the way it is is making life so easy with the wiring installation.
Here are some progress pics of the board.

A couple of things i learned since hooking in the board to the car.
1. The washer bottle and the wipers use the same power source on the stalk so only one relay was needed there.
2. The hazards use the same power source as the indicators so only one flash relay is needed.
fuel system sorted

going to pull apart the dash cluster and fit my own gauges in it to keep some sort of factory look as you walk up to it.

dash pad fitted back in and dash cluster in place, just waiting on gauges to rock up to finish that off.
shifter fitted. just need to make up a centre dash panel for radio/2way/balance of the guages.

we did start it on friday night after having a small drama, pin pointed at a flogged out starter motor.
filled the box with oil saturday and then had a small panic as we had no drive, thought crossed my mind that i may have bought brick rather than a gearbox, turned out the vacuum line was too small to get the pump going.fixed that, cycled through the gears then shortly afterwards picked up drive and reverse.
rather decent milestone for the build so far. light at the end of the tunnel, shouldnt be toooo far off seeing the road shortly
Here is the video of the first start up.
