    gearbox & tcase leaks

It never bloody ends with the rangie....
got the box and case rebuilt, then had the wiring loom melt.

now its leaking like a sieve.

Leaking from the inspection plate on the back of the transfer...
so hopefully thats just a case of resealing it - would have thought it should be fine after a rebuild.
the gearbox is leaking from the cooler line pump, where it mounts to the gearbox, bolts are torqued up but its leaking. should i just replace the washers or use some sealant as well or other idea?

i know that feeling too well mate

the inspection plate sounds like a simple fix, someone has went to town with blue silicone sealent on mine and it seems to be fine, well that bit of the t.case anyway haha.

im guessing that if the cooler pipe has a washer its not a tapered thread, i would get a new washer and put a small amount of silicone on the washer making sure you dont get any on the threads. just nip it, a leaking cooler line is better than a striped cooler line haha.

    cheers, andy

yeah i hope the t case is that easy.

Sorry for the confusion, the cooler line metal plate where the line bolts on to, leaks on the mounting face between the gearbox and the plate thing, not the lines. thanks for the info though
