Hi
damn rangie centre consoles buggers of things i ended up making my own.Ill take a pic inside mine and put it up for you see if it helps.
A couple or so weeks ago I broke my rear diff and transfer case on my 83 rangie. I had a chance to to get another rangie at a cheap price to get the bits of it so I jumped at it
Now here is the promblem Im currently facing
So I know that the centre consoles are as rare as rocking horse poo but I found most of the bits from linn rover in Perth to fix it but it seems Ive ran into another problem, here is what I got,
Which wire goes where
Guessing the switch panel end
I have looked through my rave cd and connot find where the control unit is for the electric windows is located or am I missing it
Also in the pic of the missing console there is a 3 wire conector what does that plug into???(white plug)
I also got the illumination panel for the auto as well so I know how that wires up but Im sure Im missing something, Ive got to get this finished by Tuesday nest week as the car is booked into the pits to be inspected
Anyway here she is

the control unit for the windows lives in the missing centre console
Hi
i had a look in mine and none [not many] of my plugs are the same so i dont think pics will help. i did notice the plug coming from the back floor is mated to plugs of different colours. mine is mated to the same colours and also you are missing your window lift control unit which should plug onto the harness with the relays attached. the window switches are as follows.rear widow lock is brown plug. drivers window green. front passenger is yellow rear left iswhite rear drivers side is grey. looks like rear window lock is black on yours. mine is a 91 im assuming yours is a 89

G'day Adam!
My rangie's center console box is falling apart and I'm in the midst of making a new one, so have easy access to all the wires if you want me to take a few photos?
Mine is an 88 (model year, anyway.).
Cheers,
Nick.
EDIT: Making, not looking, oops.
Ive bought a 89 rangie that has no electric window switches or loom so it seems, so I bought a loom and switches from a 93 model but now can't wire them up as they are different.
Does anyone know how?
This is what Ive got
Im sure the main loom there is only the rear and not the front it seems to go right to the back of the dash??
This plug is power feed Grey/purple is live, red is dead, green is live with ignition on
This is what i bought
These are the plugs that are on it
Any help would be fantastic Ive got to get this car finished by Wednesday morning as Ive got it booked in at the pits to get licenced

I've found out the loom I've bought is a 93 model so does anyone know how to splice a 89 into a 93 model????

Man, you need to examine and compare the RAVE for each model year and do the splice if you need to. Identify what colours are used with what function. The window switches are the same, but you say that 89 car doesn't have electric windows, which would be MOST unusual.
Can't fathom your problem - I would identify elec window cabling and ignore it if you don't have elec windows.

Mine does have electric windows but the only plug that's not connected is the power, but on the 93 model it runs 3 power lines each to a different fuse and my rave manual lists different colours to what my cable has
