HI guys got some crystal cut lights for the old girl, so started to put them in & do traxides upgrade kit too.
I got an issue with the mounting of the lights to the bezel/plate. the new lights have a different styled locator (see pics) and don't sit flush/very loose
some ideas to fix this are:
1.plate the holes and just have the locators hard up against where the old holes were (lose the locking nature though unless I put a couple of screws into it)
2. Put self tapping screw in the bezel plate with the head of the screw against the globe to act like a spacer.
3. cut the tabs off the old lights and fix them to the new ones somehow
4. put a spacer in/ high temp sealant (messy and won't allow airflow around lights)
