Thermo switch for heated window washer jets. When it hits 4 degrees, it makes a circuit in the washer jets when you use them so they warm the water a bit during use
G'day Lads,
Anyone know what this sensor is for?
It seems to be a light sensor but is covered by the grill normally.

I think its for detecting ice/cold temp for when you select the windscreen washers so that they heat up the water that is squirted on your windscreen.
so that means that if you are not in a cold climate then you will never experience this happening..have a look at your washers on the bonnet on the inside and see if you have some wires going to them ,if so then thats it, if not then I dont know what I am talking about...LOL
Langy beat me to it.....LOL

What would life be without a Rangie?
That seems really cool. Would come in handy some mornings.
Thanks people,
So it'll probably never get used here in WA
The jets on the bonnet have heaters in them but they're not connected.
I notice the door locks have heaters too.
On a Defender?! That's high tech. Which year model do you have FIXR7? They're starting to get too complex!
James.
If it was defender I wouldn't have posted in the classic range rover section.
It's a '93 Vogue.
No worries Jimmy!
Here's me build thread anyway...
