Holy thread resurrection Batman! It’s been a while since the Rangie has been shown some love but it’s back on my radar again so stay tuned for some updates and pics. 👍
Hi mate, the only spare dizzy I had was in that engine.
Fuel pump is new in the tank - when I put the long range tank in, I did that as a matter of course but not hard to check - and I haven’t.
Will be a few weeks until I can get back to it now as I’ll be out of commission for a bit after a minor procedure tomorrow.

Yes it is - I'll see if I can take some and replace what I can, but there are some lost for all time as I had my computer go south about the same time as photo ****it lost the plot - must have been a solar flare that caused both...![]()

Ok, I've merged the thread I had running about the engine now I've found this again so everything is in the one place. I have a question for someone who has an EFI RRC with the fuel pump access hatch in the back - would someone please be able to take a pic and get me some measurements of where it is? I fitted the 3.9 EFI to this vehicle and it was pre EFI so no cutout - and of course I need to get to the fuel pump now and I'm not dropping the tank to do that.
TIA.

Just be careful.
hThe Long Ranger tank in my 91 RRC had the fuel pump further forward than the hole and I had to cut a new hole AFAIR just behind a cross brace.
91s had a plastic tank

Ah - ok. It is an LRA tank in it. Wonder if that's the same. Should have checked before I stuck it in all those years ago I suppose...
Even if I know roughly where to start I can go from there - I will be fabricating a new panel to cover it all up again afterwards, so if it ends up larger than standard, that's not a big deal.

Different .
LRA in Lilydale and Long ranger in Cessnock.
why not call LRA and ask. They usually put it forward as the deepest part is at the front.

I actually did call them - but didn't get much help - wasn't their fault but the person I got was a woman (working from home I think) who looked up a Range Rover and said they only did sill tanks - I think they discontinued the large rear tank at some stage as their website shows this as well. Might try them again next week after (hopefully) lockdown is finished and they are back at the workshop. I might even be up that way next week for work so will drop in and see them.

Got 1/2 hour today to do a bit more - checked the fuel pressure after faffing around making an adaptor for my pressure gauge - 55PSI which seems ok.
Having got another dizzy to check the reluctor out, stuck that in - and it started a bit easier - well it started so that’s more than I’ve got out of it for a while so I’ll keep going down the ignition track - will find a BIM024 ignition amp and a new coil and see how that goes.
