leaks int he front foot well?

Hi guys not sure if its the rain, muddy boots or just water from washing the door/sills after the beach on the weekend.

however I seem to have alot of water on/under the floor mat, carpet & rubber matting in both the drivers/passenger footwell.

with a quick inspection this morning I could see any signs of it dripping from the windscreen/dash area, however wanting to know if there are common areas for it to be leaking

Not sure how common it is, but mine gets wet there as well. Found the easiest thing to do is not leave it outside in the rain...

Seriously though, I think mine is leaking from the windscreen seal which is stuffed and will get replaced in due course when I paint the car. Keep an eye on it, it will rust your floors out pretty quick if it stays wet down there.

There are a couple of mastic seals in the decker panel that harden up over the years and let water in. Could be windscreen seal. Could be heater matrix.
Mine drips on my feet in very heavy rain, but I cannot be fagged to fix it as I have a 92 with concealed bonnet hinges and it means pulling the bonnet.

And if you ever do, don't leave the decker panel off for any length of time ( more than a day) because the bottom section of the windscreen seal straightens out downwards and makes it a very 'emotional' experience re-installing the decker.

G,day, if you have a sunroof a common fault is the drain hoses run down the windscreen pillars and can leak water around the foot well on both sides.

    just a thourght.

No sunroof. thanks for the tip though.

had a better look yesterday no apparent leaks up high, so it maybe just from washing the doors, inside sills etc.

sunny today (hopefully it stays that way. I'll have a better look if it dries out more
