    Heater cores

    Hi all,
    With a couple of days free I decided to tackle the leaking heater core in the Rangie. I have been withou a heater for the past year.
    I pulled it all out ok (but never again) and the heater core is stuffed with a huge crack.

    I can get a heater core but it is from a 2 door. Does anyone have a parts list and could tell me if they were still the same in the 87 Rangie. I know the heater units were different but I had a feeling that the core/radiator was the same. The one I can get is inside the heater unit so I can't check it till I buy it.

    Perhaps this helps...

    Adam,

    DAxxxxx to EAxxxxx heater matrix part no 606923;
    Eaxxxxx to GAxxxxx heater matrix part no RTC 6366.

    So that's 84 onwards. I'm guessing the core from a 2 door will be the earlier one, and that you'd probably need the second.

    Close as I can get, but someone else smarter will inform surely.

    Cheers

    Pete

    I just had another look and found an aftermarket site that listed the same heater core for Range Rovers 1972-1988. So maybe it will work after all.

    Hi James

    Now I can't find the site that had the heater cores.

    However, I did get a price from Anthony at British 4WD and it was $109. That was for an 87 Classic so the 95 may be more expensive.

    You can contact him british4wd@bigpond.com

    They will post it but freight to WA might be expensive.
