    A/C help, RRC

Hi everyone, this request is aimed at somebody who may have access to 1992/3 RRC A/C wiring diagram for 200Tdi diesel models. Yes they are different to V8, and there is a seperate loom/ relay setup as far as I can make out to plug in to make the A/C work as it should. It is there to bypass the engine ECU and logic control relay.

I am hoping someone here may have a factory electrical wiring diagram etc as the RAVE disc i have only covers soft dash 1995, and the Haynes book, well, is helpful only to a point

    Really urgent, too

    Thanks,

    JC

Here is a scan from a Genuine Workshop manual.
Sorry about the quality, but it is hard to scan something because the manual is so thick.
Hope this is of some help

Thanks Wayne, I think I will have to get a gander at the whole A/C section to see if it is the same vehicle,, there are a few different wire colours on mine, a late 1993 LSE.

I have also earthed the Black and Slate wire from terminal 85 on the compressor clutch relay like the diagram shown, and it just stays on and will not turn off as it seems to be downstream of the thermostat, which allows the evap to freeze up and the clutch to stay engaged even when the A/C switch is turned off.

The Workshop manuals that I have are for years 86-94 and that is the only diagram for a Diesel. The only difference I can see between the diesel and the EFI is that the wiring for the High and Low pressure switches and coolant pressure switch is different.

Ahh, that may be the whole issue then, and I am looking in the wrong direction... Are you able to elaborate ?

I will have to try and get a manual anyway for these models as I have quite a few to work on, and can't ask you to keep posting pages for me

I haven't until now encountered a problem as specifically frustrating as this though!!

Again, Thanks Wayne you have confirmed I am on the right track

No problem,I will keep looking for some more information,as you have raised my interest.Like your good self,I spent a lot of years working on vehicles for a living (32 Years to be precise). If you are desperate,I could post the manual to you,but would probably take a few days to get there, with the weekend upon us.

Here is a scan of the wiring diagram for the A/C on the EFI model.
Not the difference in items 21,22 and 23,High and low pressure switches and engine coolant temp switch. And I believe the 4 pin plug you mentioned may be item 6.
I think a modification to the wiring loom may be required.

Here are 2 diagrams 1990 and 1991- seem the same to me. doesn't show the output to V8 ecu but they are AC load and AC-on that go straight to the stepper motor, to increase idling speed.
Cannot see any specific diagram for the diesel. the manual that these came from does have VM and TDi engine sections.
