I've got a 4" lift in mine and it is quite scary. I want to drop it down to a 3"
I have 4" spring and 2" body, flares cut and 35s. GQ shocks with no rubbing but my god is it scary.

As Rovercare said. The problem with big lifts is that many blokes just whack a set of 4 inch lifted spring without any idea of what else needs to be sorted to make it work properly :(
Personally I'm not a fan of big spring lifts, I have conservative taste in lifts (2 inch is my lot plus body lift), but then I don't go over 33 inch tyres either. Know plenty of people who have done 4 inch lifts without issues but like anything it has to be done properly

hay hay!
My bro has a 4inch spring lift and no body lift. Hes runnin dobson springs and shocks, yep had to do other things to mkae it all works brake lines, etc. He runs 35 and flares, and now a chev. It does have advantages compared to body lifts, everything is raised, like bar etc. and heaps of clearance in chassis etc.
It drives amazingly well!!! no wobbles, nothing, he makes everything look easy, where I have 2 and 2 and I always seem to get stuck or rub on things,
cheers nat
Mine has no caster correction which is why it is scary. And why I want to drop it down (I bought it like this). It has extended brake lines, cones and retainers but its just too high.
I would rather do more body chopping than more height, IMO they engineered a car to be at a certain height, anything over that and you've just pushed all those values right out.
I'm not a real fan of big lifts as my old rangie felt a bit tippy at 4". I have a 2" body lift atm on the soft dash but am only running 33's. Car feels very solid at that. Fitting 35" Treps soon so am in the process of fitting 2" springs as we speak. Price you have to pay when fitting large tyres.
The 2" body and 2" spring seems to be the go with running 35's.
