Thread: 88 RRC REAR DOORS

Ihave aproblem with my rear doors in that they wont open. All was good and then just wouldn,t open . Does anyone know how to fix this . My only thoughts was to remove hinge bolts and take off the entire door. As this is my DD is there an easier way.

Are you saying they will not open from the outside handle?

If so it is possible that the rod that leads from the door lock to the outer handle has some wear and needs to be adjusted, with the screw adjustment.
Expect to lose some skin.
The procedure is to lever off the capture clip from the outside handle end, then turn the rod clockwise to shorten it.

if from inside check that the childproof locks are not engaged, and that the lock plunger is fully up.
